Executive MBA FAQs
Is the Executive MBA Program accredited?
Yes, the Executive MBA program at William & Mary is accredited by AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).
How many months is the Executive MBA Program?
The EMBA program is an 18-month program starting each January.
When/where, are classes held?
Classes are alternating Fridays and Saturdays from 8:30am-5:00pm at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business on the main campus in Williamsburg.
Is my MBA diploma a William & Mary Executive MBA?
Upon completion of the Executive MBA program, your degree will be conferred with an MBA from William & Mary. The Executive MBA can be listed on your resume as the program you attended but not the degree you received.
Is work experience considered to apply if I do not have a conferred undergraduate degree?
To apply for the Executive MBA program you must have a conferred Bacherlor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The admissions committee looks at each applicant very holistically from academic credentials to professional experience.
What is the requirement for work experience?
We require a minimum of seven years of professional work experience with some management experience preferred.
Is the GMAT or GRE required for admission?
No. We do not require GMAT or GRE test results for admission into the Executive MBA Program.
Are the Global Immersions required? Is the airfare included with tuition?
Yes, both of the Global Immersions are part of the 18-month program and are required. The airfare is not included in the tuition; however, lodging, meals and class activities are included during the Global Immersions.
Is the Career Management Center available to Executive MBA students?
The Career Management Center is available to all Executive MBA students upon admission to the program and as alumni upon graduation. There is a dedicated staff person to work with our Executive MBA students.
