Part-Time MBA students live and work all throughout the Hampton Roads area and into Richmond. The majority of our students come from Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, Newport News, Smithfield, Williamsburg and Richmond.

Part-Time MBA FAQs

Is the Part-Time MBA Program accredited?
Yes. The Program is fully accredited by AACSB International: The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Is the Part-Time MBA degree the same as the Full-Time MBA degree?
Yes. You will earn a “William & Mary MBA” degree no matter which MBA program you choose at William & Mary. Diplomas across our MBA programs are identical.
Is the Part-Time MBA faculty the same as the Full-time MBA faculty?
Yes. Almost all William & Mary MBA faculty teach across MBA programs. A significant percentage of faculty in all MBA programs are full-time, tenured professors.
How long is the Part-Time MBA Program?
3 years typically; the program is very flexible on time to degree, so students can accelerate to about 2 ½ years or take up to 5 years to complete. Students may also take semesters off.
Where, when, and how often do students attend class?
Part-Time MBA courses are taught in person at the W&M Peninsula Center in Newport News, Mondays-Thursdays, 7:00-9:50 pm. The typical student is in class 2 evenings per week. There is the possibility of a few Saturday morning classes in the summer semester to allow for a longer break before the fall semester.
Does the Part-Time MBA Program offer online classes?
No. Part-Time MBA classes are all in person, although our faculty take full advantage of technology. William & Mary does offer an Online MBA Program.
Is the Career Management Center available to Part-Time MBA students?
Yes. Part-Time MBA students have access to the Graduate Career Management Center throughout their MBAs and afterwards, as alumni.
