Most students take two courses per semester year-round to finish in three years. Our schedule flexibility allows you to accelerate, reduce your pace or take a semester off, to fit your needs.

It’s truly a fast start: No recommendations, no MBA Math, and an accelerated application process. Take up to nine credit hours with this option and if you become a degree-seeking student, these classes transfer automatically to your degree.

Flex MBA FAQs
Is the Flex MBA Program accredited?
Yes. The Program is fully accredited by AACSB International: The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
Is the Flex MBA degree the same as the Full-Time MBA degree?
Yes. You will earn a “William & Mary MBA” degree no matter which MBA program you choose at William & Mary. Diplomas across our MBA programs are identical.
Is the Flex MBA faculty the same as the Full-time MBA faculty?
Yes. Almost all William & Mary MBA faculty teach across MBA programs. A significant percentage of faculty in all MBA programs are full-time, tenured professors.
How long is the Flex MBA Program?
3 years typically; the program is very flexible on time to degree, so students can accelerate to about 2 ½ years or take up to 5 years to complete. Students may also take semesters off.
Where, when, and how often do students attend class?
Flex MBA courses are taught in person at the W&M Peninsula Center in Newport News, Mondays-Thursdays, 700-9:50 pm. The typical student is in class 2 evenings per week. There is the possibility of a few Saturday morning classes in the summer semester to allow for a longer break before the fall semester.
Does the Flex MBA Program offer online classes?
No. Flex MBA classes are all in person, although our faculty take full advantage of technology. William & Mary does offer an Online MBA Program.
Is the Career Management Center available to Flex MBA students?
Yes. Flex MBA students have access to the Graduate Career Management Center throughout their MBAs and afterwards, as alumni.
