The Post-9/11 GI Bill ®
If you have at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service after September 10, 2001, and are still on active duty, or if you are an honorably discharged Veteran or were discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days, you may be eligible for Post-9/11 GI Bill ® benefits, administered through Veterans Affairs. Post-9/11 GI Bill ® benefits cover the cost of in-state tuition, fees, and student health insurance for candidates who are eligible.
The Yellow Ribbon Program

William & Mary is a proud participant in the Yellow Ribbon (YR) Program which is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008. This program allows institutions of higher education (degree-granting institutions) in the United States to voluntarily enter into an agreement with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to fund tuition expenses that exceed the amount payable by the VA.

The Yellow Ribbon program is designed to close the gap between the cost of your program and the in-state tuition rate covered by the GI Bill ®. Out-of-state students who qualify 100% through the Post 9/11 GI Bill ® should expect to be eligible for the Yellow Ribbon Program. Students will automatically be considered for this program once a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility is submitted to the Veterans Benefits Officer. For more information on Yellow Ribbon, visit the Yellow Ribbon Program website.

Mason Military Association
The Mason Military Association assists student members by leveraging former and current military experiences to enhance career opportunities within the public and private sectors and build esprit de corps and camaraderie within the Mason Community. The MMA focuses on enhancing the active-duty student’s access to a wide professional network of those continuing to serve, while also helping veterans effectively market their unique skill sets to transition into their professional field of choice. MMA members also serve as mentors to candidates and incoming students.
Mason Executive Partner Program
Military servicemen and women do not always have time for career reflection and professional development when serving our great nation. The Executive Partner Program provides every MBA candidate with their very own personal coach to executive-level leadership and decision making. The network includes representation from the U.S. Military with distinguished representation from our U.S. Military.
